Penns Valley
Penns Valley
Penns Valley is an eroded valley in the Pennsylvania region of the Appalachian Mountain range. The valley is located in southern Centre County, bordered by Nittany Mountain to the north, the Seven Mountains range to the south, and connects to the larger Nittany Valley to the west. Penns Valley is host to two major public limestone caves, both are attractions that draw both tourists and residents. The first being Penn’s Cave, located just east of Centre Hall, is an all water limestone cave and wildlife center unique in the United States. On its 91st anniversary in 1976 both the cave and hotel were placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The cave is accessed by guided boat tours through the cavern.The second public cave in Penns Valley is Woodward Cave. Located in the village of Woodward, this cave is one of the largest in the state. Penns Valley is also known for its annual Grange Fair. The fair is historic in PA having gathered residence from the entire state of Pennsylvania and beyond since 1974.

Bellefonte
Bellefonte, about twelve miles northeast of State College and is considered part of the State College, Metropolitan Area. It houses the Centre County Courthouse located downtown on the square. Bellefonte has also been home to five of Pennsylvania’s governors as well as two other state’s governors. All seven are commemorated in a monument located at Talleyrand Park. The town features many examples of Victorian architecture and is considered to be historic in centre county. It is also home to the natural spring from which the town gets its name. Bellefonte is a desirable neighborhood for anyone looking for a small town feel with the convenience of walking to local attractions, you will often find residents fishing in the spring, enjoying a stroll through Talleyrand park or eating lunch on the deck at Governors Pub.
Bald Eagle
Bald Eagle
Bald Eagle is an unincorporated populated area of Blair County, about 20 miles east of State College. It is located in the Bald Eagle Valley at the foot of the Bald Eagle Mountain ridge, along the Big Fill Run where you’ll find the headwaters of the Bald Eagle Creek off the Little Juniata River. Originally a stop on the Pennsylvania Railroad Tyrone Division, this location is now known for Bald Eagle State Park. The park features Foster Joseph Sayers Dam and Reservoir which is perfect for fishing, boating and Swimming. Throughout the year you will also find residents enjoying the park for picnics, hikes on the trails, and camping.
